What is the document archive?
According to the Notarial Regulations, the notary is legally obliged to enter (scan) all notarial documents issued from 1 January 2000 in the electronic document archive and to file them. Therefore, every notarial document issued since 1 January 2000 is entered into the newly created electronic document archive of the Austrian Notariat.

- Saving time: Legally authorized bodies such as offices and authorities as well as persons designated by the client may also use the electronic archive. This saves time in certain procedures: file searches, duplications, postal mail, etc. are eliminated.
